Found a rot hole in the passenger side rear subframe. Customer has pictures on his phone and should be replaced under factory warranty. Should have metal brake lines replaced at same time to decrease cost (hopefully). Brake lines are a common problem with these vehicles.

Took vehicle on multiple test drives to see if we could duplicate smell customer was experiencing and could not duplicate. Put vehicle in air and inspected front and rear brakes and there are no indications on rotors that the brakes got hung up or hot at any point. Also no uneven wear found on brake pads or rotors. Check underneath vehicle for any leaks or plastic being heated up and found nothing.
There is no way to permanently disable the start/stop unless you buy an after market device to install. We do not really want to get involved with that type of repair or alteration.
